BAAY Financial Aid Program

BAAY is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and we serve over 1500 students each year. Program tuition and ticket sales cover about 70% of our operating expenses (rent, payroll, utilities, show rights, etc.), and we rely on grants and community support to cover the rest. In addition, we are committed to serving every student who wants to participate. It has been our practice, since BAAY’s inception in 2006, to ensure that our programs are available to all kids, regardless of their socioeconomic circumstances. No child has ever been turned away from participating because of their family’s inability to pay tuition. If your family needs assistance paying tuition, there are financial aid options available to help.

BAAY’s financial aid policy would not be possible without our generous donors. We’re extremely thankful for the community support we receive, which makes these accommodations more sustainable every day. Your gift today allows another child to participate in our programs. Payment Plans

Email our office at info@baay.org to set up a payment plan for course tuition. To register for a BAAY program, select “pay later” on the final checkout page, which will secure your child’s spot in the program and defer tuition payment. Then, email us to arrange a payment plan.

Barter Options

BAAY offers barter/trade exchanges for tuition. Our goal is to collaborate with families so they can contribute in the ways that work best for them. For example, volunteering for a committee (e.g. fundraising, DEIA), helping out with special events, or house managing for productions.

If you’re interested in bartering for tuition, please email info@baay.org. To register for a BAAY program, select “pay later” on the final checkout page, which will allow time to determine the particulars of a barter arrangement while also securing your child’s spot in the program.

Multi-Course Discounts

We love serving families with multiple kids and getting to know students in multiple courses. We know that can add up, so we’re offering a couple special discounts on multiple registrations for BAAY programs. To utilize a multi-course discount, enter your selected Financial Aid code from the options below into the coupon code field on the online registration form. Please choose thoughtfully:

10% Discount on TWO programs – BAAY10WINTER
If you (as a family) register for two courses in the same session, you can save 10% off total tuition. Enter the code on the first page of each course registration form.

15% Discount on THREE programs – BAAY15WINTER
If you (as a family) register for three or more courses in the same session, you can save 15% off total tuition. Enter the code on the first page of each course registration form.

Tuition Waivers

As part of BAAY’s commitment to equity and access, we are proud to offer both partial and full tuition assistance to students in need. We believe every child has a right to an arts-infused education! By removing the barrier of an application process, we hope more students will be able to experience our programs.

In recent years, the use of financial aid for BAAY programs has outpaced our increases in student enrollment. With that in mind, we respectfully request that, if you are able to pay full or partial tuition, to please do so. This will ensure that we are able to continue to offer financial aid to families that would otherwise not be able to participate. Our commitment to ensuring that every child has access is unwavering. To utilize a tuition waiver, enter your selected Financial Aid code from the options below into the coupon code field on the online registration form. Please choose thoughtfully:

20% Tuition Waiver – BAAY20WINTER
BAAY covers 20% of tuition to assist families that would otherwise experience higher tuition as a financial obstacle.

40% Tuition Waiver – BAAY40WINTER
BAAY covers 40% of tuition to assist families that would otherwise experience higher tuition as a financial obstacle.

60% Tuition Waiver – BAAY60WINTER
BAAY covers 60% of tuition to assist families that would otherwise experience higher tuition as a financial obstacle.

Full Tuition Waiver – BAAY100WINTER
BAAY covers 100% of tuition. Please note that in order for our financial aid program to be accessible and sustainable, we intend full tuition waivers for those families who could not otherwise participate in our programs.
