SSTC Presents: Head Over Heels
Head Over Heels is the latest musical from the visionaries that rocked Broadway with Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Avenue Q, and Spring Awakening. This laugh-out-loud love story is set to the music of the iconic 1980’s all-female rock band The Go-Go’s and includes hit songs like “We Got the Beat,” “Our Lips Are Sealed,” and “Vacation.” A hilarious, exuberant celebration of love, this bold musical comedy follows the escapades of a royal family on an outrageous journey to save their beloved kingdom from extinction – only to discover the key to their realm’s survival lies within each of their own hearts.
Critics have widely praised the show’s celebratory, inclusive, and “queer fairy tale” atmosphere with progressive and LGBTQ-positive themes. Join BAAY for a “joyously queer” summer escape! Performed by students in BAAY’s State Street Theatre Company (SSTC) program.
Performances: August 14-16 and 21-23
Showtimes: Fridays at 7pm, Saturdays at 2pm and 7pm, Sundays at 2pm
Location: New Prospect Theatre
