Description: Students will learn the fundamentals of technical theatre! From designing sets to operating a light board, there is lots to explore behind the scenes. This program offering will allow BAAY students to get even more directly involved with all aspects of putting on a production and will run in tandem with the senior show SpongeBob the Musical.
Ages: 13-17
Weekly classes: Fridays from 4:30-6:00 PM (at BAAY)
Start date: February 9
End date: May 17
Note: There is no class during spring break (4/1 – 4/5).
Students have the option to volunteer for a mentorship opportunity to run tech crew with the senior musical creative team. Volunteer opportunity details for SpongeBob the Musical:
Tech weeks: June 3-6 and June 11-13 from 5:00-8:00 PM
Performances: June 7, 8, 14, and 15 at 7:00 PM, and June 8 and 15 at 2:00 PM
