**In theatrical terminology, double-casting is when two actors are both cast in the same role, and take turns playing the role during alternating performances. It is different from casting an understudy; an understudy typically only performs when the actor in the role is away or ill. For our performances of SpongeBob, the principal roles will be double-cast, meaning two different actors will be able to perform each of these principal roles on alternating weekends, but ALL actors will be able to perform in every show.
